Historic and Cultural Sites

 

Set in an ancient candied fruit factory, the Museum of Apt invites you to immerse into the heart of city’s history and surrounding territory. The Cathedral of Sainte-Anne, dates back to the 1st century  and holds the relics of St. Anne, which it is said are placed in a subterranean grotto to protect Apt from desecration by the barbarians. 

Excursions

 

The "must see" villages Bonnieux, Lacoste, Gordes are only few kilometers away. If you head to Aix-en Provence for a one day excursion, you will enjoy Lourmarin and the route of the Sud-Luberon castles. Abbaye de Senanque is only 19 km away. 

Market Tour 

 

Apt is famous for its flea and street markets, and farmers markets.

Visit the "La Maison du Fruit Confit". The factory's shop offers a wide range of candied fruits and sweets of Provence. Gourmet events and culinary workshops are regularly organized throughout the year.

Wineries and Distilleries Tour

 

Situated in the heart of Luberon, the property is surrounded by numeraus wineries. A visit to the Distillerie de Lavande les Coulets should be planned for.

Leisure Activities

 

Close to the Colorado Provencal and the Ochre Trail, a mountain bike tour can be arranged upon request.

Horse Riding and Carriage Rides 

 

Another way to discover the natural and cultural heritage of the Ochres is in a horse-drawn chariot ride, connecting "Mines de Bruoux" , the "Conservatoire des ocres" (OKHRA) and the "Sentier des ocres" of Roussillon. A tour can be arranged upon request.
